Test the wall
Lime behaves differently on raw stucco, plaster, and previously painted drywall — we test first.

Prepare the surface
Repairs, cleaning, and mineral primer create the absorbency lime needs to bond.

Approve a sample
We apply pigment samples on your actual wall and review them in day and evening light.

Brush the coats
Layers are cross-brushed by hand to build the characteristic cloudy depth.

Cure & protect
Lime carbonates as it dries and lightens; we seal only where the room requires it.
Lime Wash FAQs
Is lime wash washable?
True lime wash is a mineral finish and is best left unsealed in dry rooms; for kitchens and baths we apply a compatible mineral sealer or use a limewash-look acrylic.
Will the color change as it dries?
Yes — lime dries lighter and continues to cure for weeks. That is why we always approve a real sample on your wall first.
Can lime wash go over existing paint?
With the correct mineral bonding primer, yes. Bare stucco and plaster are ideal, but painted walls can be prepared successfully.
